What Is Privex

Privex is a company that delivers cloud computing based-services as well as solutions to businesses or projects. Unlike other cloud service providers, Privex takes most cryptocurrencies (will explain that in the course of this article) as payment when ordering for a server, interestingly, Privex will never ask for your details when ordering their services.

Whether you're into real-estate, CEO, brand owner, or as the case may be, it is necessary to leverage your company/project with a cloud service provider, in this case - Privex is the recommended one. In actuality, cloud services are becoming increasingly acceptable for companies and brands, because they offer advantages about cost, accessibility, and scalability.

How is Privex different from other cloud service providers

Fundamentally, Privex was designed to solve the unending problem in the world which is precisely privacy. You'll agree with me on the notion that our privacy has now become a commodity in place of a right, as such, the price of privacy minded-services is much higher than the normal services.

The majority of cloud service company providers now handle our information with less care. While this isn't legal, they might sell your credentials off to the highest bidder or simply hand them over to Government Agencies. At Privex our slogan says it all, "Privacy is Affordable and Privacy Matters". We believe privacy is a human right, as such, it's very unseemly to pay for our rights.

In a nutshell, Privex is devised uniquely that it protects your personal data/credentials without actually breaking the bank.

What they offer

Sometime this year, Privex provided both dedicated and virtual servers (VPS) at a fair price remarkably similar to 'normal" hosting providers.

Unlike another host,s at Privex, we only accept cryptocurrencies as a means of payment. Privex will never request for your Credit card or PayPal credentials or anything that has your information or data on it. The only information we request for is just a name and a valid email, this is just to confirm that the user is not a bot but a real being.

Pro's and Cons of using Privex

Having explained most of the intricacies of Privex, working with data in the cloud is two-sided. Thus advantages and disadvantages, mentioned below are some of the Pros and Cons of Privex.

Pros

  • Eliminates costly systems - with Privex, your business/project is eligible to enjoy minimal expenditure. The reason being, everything is done in the cloud. With this ideology, the company will spend less on costly devices.

  • Its privacy is top-notch -Privex Inc. is a registered company in Belize, which allows us to protect your private information through strong privacy laws and legal safeguards.

  • Accepts cryptocurrencies as a means of payment

  • The company offers a 7-day refund policy for VPS's and 10 days for most of our dedicated servers. We currently do not offer refunds for US dedicated servers.

Cons

  • Privex accepts only cryptocurrencies as a means of payment and not fiat (currency)

  • It is only available in a few countries, namely... Germany, Finland, the USA (North Carolina).

  • Citizens and companies incorporated within Belize (apart from IBCs) are prohibited from using Privex.

  • Termination - VPS's are suspended after 5 days overdue, and data is removed after 25 days. Dedicated servers are terminated after 10 days of non-payment, with full data loss.

  • You are responsible for the data on your server, we cannot be held liable for data loss while using our services. Please make regular backups.

What are cryptocurrencies

Cryptocurrencies are digital or virtual currencies protected by cryptography, this disruptive tool makes it almost impossible to trespass, hack or counterfeit. Among many others, one unique feature about this virtual currency is given the fact that they are generally not granted by any central authority, mediator, or middleman. They are decentralized in nature. This also implies that they are conceptually immune to government interface and exploitation.

Bitcoin is the first blockchain-based cryptocurrency to surface the space. Bitcoin remains the most popular and most valued coin among others. At the time of this writing, there are thousands of alternate cryptocurrencies, each with its functionality and specifications.

Why does Privex use cryptocurrencies for payment when ordering a server

Practically, cryptocurrencies hold the promise of making transfer easier and secured between two parties. The unique thing about cryptocurrencies is they don't need a trusted third party before carrying out a transaction. Unlike our native financial institutions where a bank or credit name must be submitted before carrying out a transaction.

Privex chose cryptocurrencies specifically, BTC, STEEM, SBD, and LTC as well as other cryptocurrencies on hold. Privex uses cryptocurrencies for payment because of their speed, scalability, decentralized nature and low costs.

Interestingly, Privex lets you pay your invoice partially. All you have to do is send a lower amount of cryptocurrency to the deposit details displayed on your payment attempt. The system will detect this and offer to allow you to "finalize" the underpayment to add a lower USD amount to your invoice.

This means you can mix and match different cryptocurrencies when paying your invoice, e.g. pay $50 in Bitcoin, pay $20 in STEEM, and pay $10 in EOS.

In this case, we'll be using Bitcoin (BTC)
